I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but it wasn’t until my friend over at Inspiration in Creation decided to share hers that I finally got on the ball.
2014 is going to be a big year for me; I will graduate from law school; marry my best friend; and face the dual terrors of sitting for the bar exam, and struggling to find a job. I want to arrive at each destination as strong as I can.
I found a list of suggestions for resolutions and tweaked them to my liking.
- This year, I need to be vigilant. My bar study begins February 1st, and I need to clock over 1,000 hours of study to have a good shot at passing.
- This year, I need to be healthy. I suffer from Hypothyroidism, and it’s been a back and forth struggle to get at a healthy place. I need to take better care of the body I’ve been given – and that includes re-committing to Weight Watchers, and knocking off those last 15 pounds for my wedding.
- This year, I need to be frugal. We have a wedding to pay for, as well as a honeymoon, and my bar expenses. I also want to work more on our house, and really turn it into a great home. I hope to be able to get myself a nice graduation gift and save enough money for a new car when that new job rolls around.
My hope for 2014 is to finally be on track with my career, my home, and my family. When 2015 comes, I hope to have a great job, a beautiful home, and have started (or at least started thinking about) a family.
What about you?
