Featured Friends: My Little Birds

Ever since my first photography class in high school, I have loved creating things in photoshop, whether it be printable pictures for the walls, birthday invitations, thank you cards, or whatever else one needs on paper. And with the help of the internet, it’s easy to have a lot of options at your disposal! Read on for tips, and for a simple, free printable!
My name is Victoria, and I write over at My Little Birds. I’m super excited to be guest posting here on The Happy Idiot! I’m a busy, working mother of 2 beautiful children (22 months, and 11 weeks). In my free time (HAH! I know, right?) I like to complete and document craft and home decor projects, recipes, and love sharing deals.
Do you ever just look around on Pinterest and see all the elaborate tablescapes and home decor? You know the ones I’m talking about, a table set up beautifully with a framed 8×10 print in the middle of it, relating to whatever event the table itself is set up for? Or see cute framed signs on someones wall, and wonder where on earth they found those? Because I know I did, and I know that they are ALL over the internet and the blog world.
So I set out to make my own, and I found that you can download fonts that are free for personal use, and you can find a ton of images to use by utilizing Google image search. Or if you’re looking for something that you can’t find there, you can purchase clipart right from the designer themself. Combining that with the basic knowledge of Photoshop or other photo editing programs, you can easily create things tailored perfectly to your taste.
I’m offering a free download of a printable today, just in time for winter and the holiday season.
Enjoy! Be sure to check out My Little Birds for more printables, and to see what’s been going on inside our 4 walls, and what we are planning for the remainder of the year!
Thanks for having me, and I hope you visit my blog!
